Not to toot their horns, but they haven’t been wrong about this in the past. So this time, I’m laying the hair trend 2025 predictions out for you so that you can watch them all unfold, or do it first and be a “trendsetter.”

Vintage is Back!

Ready your 2025 hair bingo cards because vintage must be on them, and in more ways than one. As far as I’m concerned, vintage is always a good choice, and because we always know that trends are cyclical, let’s take a look at what is set to come back next year.

The Good Ol’ Lob

Oh, lobs are not going anywhere any time soon, especially if you’re aching for that classic, elegant, or more lived-in look. This haircut is perfect for all kinds of hair types and textures, doesn’t require that much maintenance, and can truly shine with minimal styling effort (or accessories)!

And our favorite celebs are lovin’ this style too! So, think Zendaya if you’re looking for an elegant and more vintage lob inspo, and Sydney Sweeney for something edgier.

The Jane Birkin

Ms. Birkin continues to stun and inspire more than just bags. This unassuming style icon was a favorite of many back in the ‘60s, and I’m so pleased to see that her iconic haircut choices are making a comeback.

What am I talking about? The Birkin bangs and bob, of course! When it comes to the Birkin bangs, what we see nowadays is just a modern twist. The true bang Jane had was a lot fuller, while women today opt for something wispier. 

And the best part about this haircut is that it’s universally flattering no matter how you rock it. Don’t believe me? Take it from Anne Hathaway, Jenna Ortega, and Lily Collins.

Old Hollywood Bob

Okay, by now you’re probably thinking, “Alright, we get it – bobs are in style,” and it’s true! But we’re moving away from the modern versions of this cut and leaning back into the more vintage styles. Nostalgia is real, am I right? Just take a look at the old Hollywood bob.

But how does this bob differ from the rest? It’s all about the root lift and the messy ends, giving you a classy but lived-in look. Think the ‘90s kind of elegance or Beyoncé, Taraji P. Henson, and Michelle Yeoh in their old Hollywood era.

Now that we’ve covered some of the vintage cuts making a comeback, let’s focus on the trends that don’t seem to be leaving us any time soon. These are the cuts that stay with us year after year, and it’s no surprise! They’re just oh so flattering.

Yes, I’m talking about the curtain bangs trend that’s been with us for years now. But now, and I think rightfully so, this cut can be renamed into the Sabrina Carpenter because have you seen her bangs? Why are they so flawless? 

That aside, who doesn’t love a bang that suits your features no matter what? I know I do, and if you’ve not been brave enough to enter your Sabrina era, consider this a sign. Yes, I’m serious! What’s the worst that can happen? You won’t like it, and hey – hair grows back faster than you think.

Long Layers

When are we not talking about long layers? And that’s for a reason. This hairstyle is suitable for all of you that don’t want to cut your hair short and be on the bob trend, and I’ll let you in on a little secret: it’s incredibly flattering on everyone, too. Yep, literally everyone.

This is always a great choice if you’re looking for something chic and always on trend.

The Wolf Cut

This haircut has been with us for ages now, and trendsetters keep finding new ways to rock it. We’ve had the short wolf, the long wolf, wolf with all kinds of bangs – you name it! And it’s exactly its versatility that makes it a timeless classic we’ll be seeing year after year. 

And I get it; you might think this cut is difficult to style, but it’s the complete opposite! You don’t have to style at all for it to look good, and that’s the true beauty of it. We’ve seen celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, and Camila Cabello with this cut, and we can’t get enough! You next?
